About the Book
Trash Can Row: The Can Men Who Learned They Were Light
Trash Can Row is a story about the strange little things people save, the ordinary routines that hold a neighborhood together, and what happens when an official line on a map disagrees with the people standing beside it.
It begins when the familiar city truck stops coming. A simple notice says the Row no longer belongs to the route. What follows becomes a funny, heartfelt story about Blue Billy, Yellow Yolanda, Lime Larry, Petunia, Oscar, Gus, the Twins, Penelope, Ricky Red, Sunny, Mrs. Henderson, and a neighborhood forced to decide what—and who—is worth keeping.
At its center is a simple idea: we are not garbage. We are the glue. A story about belonging, friendship, family, and the light people carry inside.
